Altheus brings its exclusive model of fitness and personal training to 16 upscale health clubs in 2008

Altheus Health and Sport, founded in 2002, will expand the Altheus brand through strategic partnerships with upscale full service health clubs, beginning with Healthtrax Fitness and Wellness with 16 current locations.

Altheus’ branded model of “teaching and coaching the complete human being” takes  personal coaching to the next level, with  integrated program for individuals. The Altheus model recognizes that every person is different. Its professional team takes into account the unique physiological, nutritional and behavioral needs of each client, works with the client to design the program, and delivers the results that most people want but few achieve. The Altheus market is broad and attracts people of all levels of fitness, from non-exercisers to professional athletes, children through adults. Referrals come mostly from word of mouth and physicians looking for a safe and effective professional program.

Co-founded by Dr. Tom Crawford, the former Director of Coaching for the US Olympics and Senior Director of the National Institute for Fitness and Sport describes Altheus as “giving each of our clients access to a team of professionals with expertise in strength and conditioning, nutrition, exercise, physiology, psychology, massage and physical therapy. (“TSI”), the parent company of New York Sports Clubs. Tascher is also a principal shareholder and Board member of Crunch Fitness making up a total of over 33 locations in the U.S.
